Melosil Suspension
Meloxicam is a Non steroidal and Anti inflammatory
Drug (NSAID) used to treat Pain and Inflammation
in Rheumatic diseases and Osteoarthritis. It is recommended that it be used for as short a period as possible and at a low dose.
Composition : Each ml contains Meloxicam 1.5 mg.
Dose : For Dog and Cat , Melosil Oral Suspension should be administered initially at 0.2 mg/kg body weight only on the first day of treatment. For all treatments after day one, a dose of 0.1 mg/kg . It should be given for 3-5 days only and more than this should be given as per Veterinarian’s advise.
Pharmacodynamics : Meloxicam inhibits prostaglandin synthetase (cylooxygenase 1 and 2) enzymes leading to a decreased synthesis of prostaglandins, which normally mediate painful inflammatory symptoms. As prostaglandins sensitize neuronal pain receptors, inhibition of their synthesis leads to analgesic and inflammatory effects.
Indications : Meloxicam is used to relieve pain, inflammation, and fever in dogs and cats. It is indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis in dogs and cats. it is also used to treat pain associated with surgery.
Directions for Use : It is usually taken once a day with or without food. Adminster meloxicam at the same time every day.
Side effects : The most common side effect of meloxicam in dogs are gastrointestinal upset, including vomiting, soft stools, and lack of appetite.
Caution : Do not use in pregnant or lactating dogs. Do not use in dogs suffering from gastrointestinal disorders such as irritation and haemorrhage, impaired hepatic, cardiac or renal function and haemorrhagic disorders.
Storage : Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature.

Carprofen is a Non Narcotic, Non Steroidal, Anti Inflammatory Drug with characteristic Analgesic and Anti pyretic activity.
Composition : Each uncoated Tablet contains Carprofen USP 25/50/75/100 mg in flavoured base.
Dose : For Dogs 4.4 mg/kg b.wt once daily. For long term use 4 mg / kg.b wt daily or 2 mg / kg b.wt twice daily.
Pharmacodynamics : The mechanism of action of carprofen, like that of other NSAlDs, is believed to be associated with the inhibition of cyclooxygenase activity. Two unique cyclooxygenases have been described in mammals. The constitutive cyclooxygenase, COX-1, synthesizes prostaglandins necessary for normal gastrointestinal and renal function. The inducible cyclooxygenase, COX-2, generates prostaglandins involved in inflammation. Inhibition of COX-l is thought to be associated with gastrointestinal and renal toxicity while inhibition of COX-2 provides anti-inflammatory activity. The specificity of a particular NSAID for COX-2 versus COX-1. Carprofen inhibits the production of Osteoclast -activating factor (OAF), PGE1, and PGE2 by its inhibitory effects on prostaglandin biosynthesis.
Indications : Carprofen has three primary functions: treatment of Pain, Inflammation and Fever. It can be used for a variety of ailments. But it is most commonly prescribed to help with postoperative pain, as well as for chronic pain resulting from osteoarthritis in dogs.
Directions for Use : Carprofen should be given with food. For management of Osteoarthritis and Joint pain and Hip dysplasia, Carpil can be administered along with Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Collagen supplements.
Caution : Carprofen is not approved for use in cats. Carprofen should not be used in dogs exhibiting previous hypersensitivity to carprofen.
Side effects : Vomiting , Diarrhoea, Lack of appetite, Lethargy, Behavioural changes and Constipation.
Storage : Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature.

Composition: Each coated tablet contains 10 mg
serratiopeptidase enzyme.
Pharmacodynamics : The enzyme has its mode of action on arachidonic acid pathway (COX I and COX II), and acts on the cyclooxygenase pathway, but not on the lipooxygenase pathway (LOX).
Dose : 1 -2 mg/ kg b.wt twice or thrice and maximum daily dose is 60 mg for an adult dog.
Indications : Serratiopeptidase helps the body break down proteins, so it helps reduce inflammation and is indicated for all conditions of inflammation and edema.Serratiopeptidase is used for conditions such as back pain, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The typical treatment durations of up to 1 week when used as an anti-inflammatory agent and up to 4 weeks when used as a mucolytic agent in severe Bronchitis and Pneumonia.
Directions for Use : It should be given minimum two hours after food for better absorption and
bioavailability.
Side effects : Generally no side effects. Very rarely reported with eosinophilic pneumonitis, bullous pemphigoid and hemorrhage.

Carel-M Shampoo is a Medicated shampoo recommended for Dogs and cats for the topical treatment of Dermatitis.
Composition : Miconazole Nitrate - 2% w/v Chlorhexidine gluconate - 2% w/v & Shampoo base.
Dose : Apply sufficient quantity of shampoo. Approximately 0.5 -1 ml of shampoo pet kg b wt will be sufficient to cover the entire body.
Pharmacodynamics : The primary mechanism of Miconazole Nitrate is inhibition of the CYP450 14α-lanosterol demethylase enzyme, which results in altered ergosterol production and impaired fungal cell membrane composition and permeability, which in turn leads to cation, phosphate, and low molecular weight protein leakage and causes fungal death and further multiplication. The positively charged chlorhexidine molecule reacts with negatively charged phosphate groups on microbial cell surfaces - this reaction both destroys the integrity of the cell, allowing leakage of intracellular material, and allows chlorhexidine to enter the cell, causing precipitation of cytoplasmic components and causes bacterial death and controls its growth.
Indications : Carel-M Shampoo for dogs and cats is an excellent product to remove scales from the surface of your pet. It helps to degrease the coat effectively and successfully kills all microorganisms that are responsible for causing dermatitis. This is specially formulated to help remove all kinds of skin ailments from your dogs and cats.
