Bactoban shampoo is recommended because of its antiseptic and antibacterial property for the topical treatment of Dogs and Cats.
Composition : Cetrimide IP 2% w/v and medicated shampoo base q.s.
Dose : Apply sufficient quantity of shampoo. Approximately 0.5 -1 ml of shampoo per kg b.wt will be sufficient to cover the entire body.
Pharmacodynamics : Cetrimide is a quaternary ammonium salt, which acts as a cationic detergent when it comes in contact with the bacterial cells, causing the release of nitrogen
and phosphorous which in turn has denaturing effects on membrane proteins of the bacterial cell.
Indications : Cetrimide is an antiseptic which kills bacteria, fungi and viruses on the scalp, and treats flaky and itchy scalp. It is indicated for the topical treatment of Pyoderma and Podo dermatitis in dog and cats.
Directions for Use : Wash the Pet body completely with soft water and Apply sufficient quantity of Bactoban shampoo. Massage the coat gently on the opposite directions of the Hair coat which allows the shampoo to contact the dermal layers and assists in the absorption of cetrimide. The minimum contact period should be 10-15 min for the effective Drug action.
Side effects : Generally it’s very safe for topical use. Very rarely, it causes Rash, Skin Blistering, Redness Of Skin and Burning Sensation. In such cases, immediately stop using it and wash the pet thoroughly in cold water and consult your veterinarian.
Storage : Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children.
Carel-M Shampoo is a Medicated shampoo recommended for Dogs and cats for the topical treatment of Dermatitis.
Composition : Miconazole Nitrate - 2% w/v Chlorhexidine gluconate - 2% w/v & Shampoo base.
Dose : Apply sufficient quantity of shampoo. Approximately 0.5 -1 ml of shampoo pet kg b wt will be sufficient to cover the entire body.
Pharmacodynamics : The primary mechanism of Miconazole Nitrate is inhibition of the CYP450 14α-lanosterol demethylase enzyme, which results in altered ergosterol production and impaired fungal cell membrane composition and permeability, which in turn leads to cation, phosphate, and low molecular weight protein leakage and causes fungal death and further multiplication. The positively charged chlorhexidine molecule reacts with negatively charged phosphate groups on microbial cell surfaces - this reaction both destroys the integrity of the cell, allowing leakage of intracellular material, and allows chlorhexidine to enter the cell, causing precipitation of cytoplasmic components and causes bacterial death and controls its growth.
Indications : Carel-M Shampoo for dogs and cats is an excellent product to remove scales from the surface of your pet. It helps to degrease the coat effectively and successfully kills all microorganisms that are responsible for causing dermatitis. This is specially formulated to help remove all kinds of skin ailments from your dogs and cats.

Dermotil K shampoo is a specially formulated Anti fungal and Anti bacterial Shampoo for treating Fungal and associated secondary bacterial skin infections.
Composition : Ketoconazole IP 2% w/v, Chlorhexidine gluconate IP 4% w/v & Medicated shampoo base q.s.
Dose : Apply sufficient quantity of shampoo. Approximately 0.5 -1 ml of shampoo per kg b.wt will be sufficient to cover the entire body.
Pharmacodynamics : Ketoconazole interacts with 14-α-sterol demethylase, a cytochrome P-450 enzyme necessary for the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol. This results in inhibition of ergosterol synthesis and increased fungal cellular permeability which leads to fungal cell death and prevents further multiplication. The positively charged chlorhexidine molecule reacts with negatively charged phosphate groups on microbial cell surfaces - this reaction both destroys the integrity of the cell, allowing leakage of intracellular material, and allows chlorhexidine to enter the cell, causing precipitation of cytoplasmic components leading to bacterial death and prevents bacterial multiplication.
